I don’t remember where I ran across the concept first, but it seems that Dave Thomas (writer of “The Pragmatic Programmer”) coined the term. Operating System I chose to use Ubuntu as my Linux distribution. Not having a lot of experience in Linux, this was a bit of a difficult decision. At this point, I don’t think it really matters which distribution I use. I primarily chose Ubuntu because in my brief search it seems to be one of the most popular – this leads me to believe that it will be easier to resolve any problems I might hit.…

Time for a fresh start

Today was my last day at my current consulting position. I’ve been with this particular client for many years. Leaving was a difficult decision to make, but I believe it will ultimately be for the best. Hello New Opportunities I’m beginning to look for new work. The excitement of a startup appeals to me.
